The Be that Leader program supports youth in building positive connections in their school and community, empowering them to create change in the spaces they are in. For youth who are new to Canada, loneliness and isolation can be very real feelings. Nurturing a sense of belonging in routine spaces, such as school, is critical to supporting positive growth and development and preventing negative influence (ie., gang activity). This program helps to provide youth with tools and knowledge that support them in becoming positive leaders in their community.
Aurora Family Therapy Centre currently offers programs for youth ages 12-14yrs, and 15-21yrs. Groups meet 1 – 2 times a week. AFTC is currently accepting referrals for youth 15-21 yrs of age.
All of our groups are provided at no cost. For referrals and/or more information please call 204-294-1736.
